Oberhofer, the synthy indie-pop 4-piece from Tacoma really has an intriguing sound. The lyrics of this Neon Indian cover are fitting, considering the first 15 seconds are pretty trippy. But after the sounds of nature and heavy synth fade out, the steady beat of a kick-drum welcomes in catchy indie-pop guitars and a more recognizable song structure. Their ability to incorporate simple guitar riffs, synthesizers, a steady bassline and distorted lyrics really make for an original and enjoyable track. There’s not much info out there about these guys, but you can pick up their 7″, o0O0o0O0o, here.
Enjoy the trip. Pun Intended
