“Shiver” by John Summit and Hayla has taken the dance world by storm – even before its release. It’s a track that TATE SEDAR didn’t just like; but loved. While going through a tough period, SEDAR, who wasn’t initially a Summit fan, was moved by the raw emotion in the track. This led him to create a remix that showcases his personal and artistic growth.
SEDAR’s remix takes Summit’s infectious chords and Hayla’s soulful vocals and turns them into an exciting mix of electro house, dubstep, and techno. This blend, reminiscent of Kill the Noise and Space Laces, marks his first foray into dubstep. The remix is also a showcasing to his unique ‘post-EDM’ style, which merges analog and digital sounds. The project reflects his year: full of ups and downs, from major life changes to personal struggles.
This year, TATE has faced it all: radical lifestyle changes, business challenges, and personal setbacks. Despite these hurdles, “Shiver” has been a source of inspiration.
