Get ready to go on a ride, because Oslo based Kid Astray are taking you with them. Comprised of six childhood friends from the land of the midnight sun, this indie synth-pop act has created a remarkably memorable tune that is sure to carry you through the summer months with ease.
Made up of an eclectic bunch, including a Vogue cover model, a junior golf champion, and a Chinese/Norwegian piano virtuoso, this sextuplet has a sound that flirts effortless between classic 80’s synth pop and contemporary gold. Displayed by this premiere of “Taking You With Me”, we’re shown a love-laced journey driven by a repitious melody and a downright catchy hook.
Coming off their second EP, (due out June 23, 2014 via Cosmos) this title track boasts influences ranging from M83 to Pet Shop Boys, which will surely going to take the blogosphere by storm. Hopefully we’ll see them come through the states full swing for 2015’s festival season.
