Chimes, delicate finger picking, a simple guitar riff, and Los Campesinos signature xylophone welcome in this Christmas ballad. The song isn’t as poppy as some of their other tunes, but their ability to across over between vocalists only to come together in harmony for the final repetitions of the chorus, is something we can all appreciate.
In a season of Andy Williams, Bing Crosby, and Nat King Cole, we’re glad to hear something modern with a little Christmas spirit in it. While the classics are irreplaceable, it’s nice to have a little indiepop in the mix.
