It’s amazing to think that Madeon recently turned 18 and is already accomplishing the things that he has done. It’s apparent that the young producer, who is originally from France, is setting new barriers for electronic dance music. People tend to forget that there’s more to edm than just anticipating the “drop” in a track, which is why I personally love Madeon. His music is breaking the stereotypical structure of having a huge buildup in a track. In “Finale”, Madeon shows how it’s not just about the “drop” that people often associate edm with, but instead how it’s about the journey the track itself takes you on while you’re listening to it.
