Gone to count sheep
You probably don’t have London based singer/songwriter Max Pope on your radar just yet, but after one listen to his live performance of “Counting Sheep,” you most assuredly will be tracking his next moves.
Coming out on Sofar Sounds, this Londoner has crafted a guitar centric tune, boasting catchy riffs and an infectious nature. Despite the fact that this youngster doesn’t have a band backing him in this live performance, you can hear influences of other UK indie rock giants like The Maccabees and Bombay Bicycle club. Couple in his thoughtfully crafted lyrics and it’s all too easy to get lost in this daydream worthy song.
