Most all things related to Michael Jackson have a degree of controversy and even after almost three years after his unfortunate passing,
The late King of Pop was always cursed by controversy and after his unfortunate passing merely three years ago, it still haunts him to this day. Pepsi and Sony music have partnered with Michael Jackson’s estate to celebrate the 25th anniversary of “Bad”, planning to re-release remastered tracks, unheard demos and of course, modern remixes of tracks from the classic album. However, the news received mixed reactions with many expressing concerns over the union of two distinctively opposite musical forces demanding for the songs to remain untampered. Rallying together a few pioneers in Electronic Dance Music scene, Sony attempts to encapsulate Michael Jackson’s music in the modern medium of dance music.
It is reported that both A-Trak and Diplo are already commissioned for a remix, including Dutch producer Afrojack to which we have a preview from today. Adhering very closely to the original structure, Afrojack takes a laidback approach to the 1987 single ‘Bad’, enhancing it with chunkier drums and a slight increase in BPM.
”Bad 25″ will be released on September 18th.
