When settling into your Sunday afternoon, could there be anything better than 10 of the chillest tracks of the week flowing through your speakers? The answer is yes, and that’s 15 of the best chill tracks. Last week’s post highlighted the steady stream of mellow tunes floating across the web lately, providing plenty of sources for amazing music. Well that stream has turned into a flood, so this dojo is now 50% more chill for even greater value on the best damn day of the week.
This playlist sees everything coming in pairs. Our first two tracks provide some gorgeous chillstep, with UK producer Isoline receiving the prestigious track-of-the-week honours for his absolutely beautiful remix of ‘Youth’. The acoustic elements over the hypnotic vocals are a seriously magical combination that will see the replay button hit repeatedly for a while to come. Things then speed up with two funky nu-disco jams courtesy of Two Moons and Le Nonsense who inject some welcome french touch into this week’s edition. As always, it wouldn’t be the Chill Dojo without a splash of summer, brought to you this time by RotKraft’s enchanting take on one of Goldroom’s best, and a nautical instrumental from UK disco fiend Edwin van Cleef. Next up are two different yet equally chill interpretations of Flume’s “Sleepless” by Australian artists, Brisbane producer Charles Murdoch going for a more future garage style while Sydney’s Cosmo&Paat take the chillstep route. Also within the mix of pairs in this instalment come two takes on Strange Talk’s “Cast Away” by Vindata and Plastic Plates, another duo of remixes of The xx, and a couple of classic Skream tracks recently released as part of his 100k Freeizm EP. We couldn’t find a suitable partner for our final feature, but fortunately Ray Complex produces a quality tune that should satisfy your trap desire all on its own.
So grab the extra beefy zip of free downloads below and don’t forget to check out last week’s dojo if you missed all the freebies from edition 1 until now. Peace out.
