I don’t think there’s much to do in Iowa, which probably helped Adam Tell become such a good musician. His newest project, the Purpose EP, exemplify his skills in depth with four records that Cloudhead Records couldn’t pass up. Adam’s statement on Soundcloud states, “The music speaks for itself,” and it certainly does. It’s that good.
Adam gives us a taste of some synth pop and some complex electro-style tracks that will have lovers of 8-bit going crazy. He doesn’t go overboard with sounding too much like video game music, instead he takes just enough influence from there, along with several other places to create something unique. Adam also sings on the records, giving himself another avenue of expression and giving himself the opportunity to say that he created the Purpose EP all on his own. The first two records on the project fit the more poppy style that Adam was going for, while the next to get more deep into the dance music, capping things off with “A Taste of Purpose” which is our favorite song of the EP. Check it out below, and make sure to head over to iTunes to buy the tracks.
