This version is deeper and thicker with big 808 beats and a synth line that sounds like a rabid mosquito. It’s actually the original version of Vava Voom’s hip hop section, which was intended to be finished last fall, but I added too many layers and took it to new places, so this is a return to the original feel that Vava Voom was gonna have.
And saving the best for last, one of the most attractive tracks we come across all week. “Weed wid da Macka” from Modeselektor & Ninjaman is reworked into a 90bpm banger using files from Wildstyle to ultimately pay tribute to the anthem.
Once again Bassnectar affirms the world why he is one of the best producers dance music has to offer. A music nomad that switches between styles without much effort but consistent in its very execution. Enjoy!
