Young British singer Birdy recently dropped her self-titled debut, featuring covers of the best indie of the recent past, such as her classic interpretation of Bon Iver’s ‘Skinny Love’. Another highlight from the album is ‘1901’, originally by French indie/electro act Phoenix. Stripping away the poppy guitars of their version, Birdy ups the drama to make the song her own.
