A Regret
Our favorite day of the week is finally here. Yes, we understand that we still have to work for a good part of this day, but having the anticipation of the weekend makes it better than Saturday or Sunday.
We don’t know about you guys, but we’re slowly feeling the seasons start to change out here in Colorado. The mornings are a bit chillier, afternoon rainshowers are the norm, and some leaves are starting to turn. With that in mind, we’re going to make the most of this Labor Day weekend, and this new tune from Rashid Ajami, featuring Julia Govor, is going to kick things off.
Coming off Highway Records, “A Regret” is a slow-building, deep house journey that carries its listeners through ominous synths and a thick, driving bassline. The pulsating pad work in the background really makes the lead synth pop, bringing it to the forefront of the tune. Garnering our adulation even moreso was the painfully perfect percussion work, which accentuates Govor’s haunting vocals.
“A Regret” is anything but, giving us a stunning sound that’s perfect for a sun-soaked pool party or an early-morning warehouse experience.
As an added bonus to this exclusive premiere, we’re also hooking up 15 copies of this on Vinyl. Entering our contest is beyond easy.
