Not too long ago we raved about “Counting,” the powerfully moving electro-soul track by Brooklyn’s Arthur Ashin, aka Autre Ne Veut. We also pointed to its excellent alternate version featuring fellow New Yorker, dynamic rapper Mykki Blanco. Today it’s been revealed that take has gotten its own music video. Directed by David Riley, it’s an emotional set of visuals showing Ashin dealing with his grandmother’s death — a true story he based the song on. The original version of the track is below.
