On March 26th, Wavves will be dropping their latest LP, Afraid of Heights, of which lead singer Nathan Williams has described as having a theme of “depression and anxiety, being death-obsessed and paranoid of impending doom.” The band’s latest track, “Demon To Lean On,” certainly exhibits all of those sentiments exactly. Channeling a 90’s sound that sounds eerily similar to Green Day, Williams and co have been able to construct a song that’s a lot less surf rock and more hopeless angst. It’s tough for a song to feel nostalgic and refreshing at the same time, but that’s exactly what Wavves have been able to do with this fantastic new single.
