If you’ve been paying attention to our site for the last three months, you’ll know that we have the utmost admiration and respect for what Red Brick Songs conducted in Canada last summer for the Casablanca Sessions. If you haven’t been paying attention, then we’ll give you a quick rundown. Red Brick Songs sent a group of amazing indie and folk artists up to Lake Couchiching in Canada to essentially hang out and write songs. The end result was a group of tracks that have all been overwhelmingly impressive.
The most current release is from Nick Vallee from Folly and The Hunter and Rob MacPhee from Paper Lions. Nick’s ethereal vocals carry softly over soft strumming and slow building keyboards. There’s not much else to say other than get ready to hit repeat. This one is a keeper.
