Sold
If we had a nickel for every time we wrote up an artist from Brooklyn, we’d have a shitload of nickels. Seriously, can someone explain this to us? We’ve been to Brooklyn before. Unless we were on the wrong street, we didn’t catch the massive musician commune complex that should rightfully exist given the amount of talent that’s coming out of that Borough.
All kidding aside, up-and-coming indie rock outfit Stone Cold Fox is yet another solid addition to the incredible talent coming out of that part of the country. Made up of members Kevin Olken Henthorn (lead singer), Ariel Loh (keyboard/synths), Justin Bright (bass), Graham Stone (guitar) and Aaron Hamel (drums), this energetic outfit has a sound that boasts classic British rock roots (The Kooks, The Wombats) with new school Americana flair.
Today we’re bringing you a look at the brand new video for their infectious tune “Sold,” which comes off their LP Memory Palace. Set to the backdrop of a catchy-as-hell guitar progression, soaring synths, and upbeat percussion, Henthorn’s vocals are brought to life with this take on something we’ve all experienced at some point. Whether you’re too drunk, too lazy, let’s all admit we’ve spent some time watching late-night infomercials,. If you say you haven’t, you’re a liar.
Give this video a spin, then give a moment of silence for the late, great Billy Mays.
