Hold On ft. Amber Coffman’
Another month means a new Resident Artist here at Music Ninja.
I’m going to use one of my favorite quotes to describe this artist.
― George Carlin
The first time I saw this artist perform, I was immediately captivated by his stage presence, he never stopped moving, not even when he drank his water or mixed his beats. He constantly covered the stage with his addicting dance style and I couldn’t help but smile the whole night listening to the crazy beats of this artist while watching him dance insanely to the music he loves to make.
The artist is the Leeds born DJ/Producer Rusko who ascended with the original U.K. dubstep movement. Rusko gave dubstep one of its first and most enduring anthems, a bolt of foul-mouthed rave lightening called “Cockney Thug”. From there, Rusko continued take the dubstep world by storm with evangelizing bass “wobble” that has since set the music world ablaze. Rusko has released a slew of singles, remixes and EPs and in 2010 his song “Cali Anthem” became the first dubstep tune to be listed on the US radio. And as any good artist will do, Rusko took some time off a few years back to travel and get inspired for his second album “SONGS”. Today, Rusko continues to make a unique dubstep sound that he likes to say is happy sounding dubstep:
He currently is about to start his fall US “Lift Me Up” tour, one that is not to be missed.
It is no surprise this artist continues to acquire more and more fans, his music speaks not just to the head but to the heart as well, not to mention what his music does to the desire to dance. So this month will be one full of fun, dance and everything Rusko.
