Throw It Back
“Throw It Back” is a crossover record from Milena Dominique that was produced by the Grammy nominated Ayo. The slow-motion vibe reminds me of the codeine style beats that a lot of rap music is leaning towards nowadays, however with “Throw It Back” we get more influence from more electronic sounds like future bass. The introduction is seductively laid-back, and with a low-key build that brings the listener to the hypnotic drop. There we are met with soft basses and smooth synths, along with cuts from Milena. It’s a party track that puts more emphasis on groove and hop than energy. “Throw It Back” comes in at just under four minutes, but after listening through it doesn’t feel like that much time has passed at all. Milena and Ayo make quite the pair, and we hope to see them work together on something again soon. For now, we only have the stream for “Throw It Back.”
