Portugal. The Man has returned to the music scene with two things: a brand new single and Danger Mouse as the producer for their upcoming album. The single, “Evil Friends”, indicates a wonderful meshing of these two. The track takes a kind of garage rock approach, however, the chorus is distinctly PTM in style, bringing back sounds from their most recent album. Overall, the song is tremendously catchy and definitely worth a listen. If ‘Evil Friends’ is any indicator about the rest of the upcoming album, then we’ll definitely be in for a good one.
Evil Friends (the album) is expected to drop on June 4th on Atlantic Records.
