Bino is at it again after back-to-back releases “We Ain’t Them” and “Tell Me”. This time, it is Nipsey Hussle who joins him on a Boi-1da produced track called ‘Black Faces’. This track will be featured on Childish Gambino’s upcoming mixtape.
Childish Gambino shows apparent signs of moving into a new direction. While he may have a casual approach to his music, his latest single “Tell Me” shows a much more determined Gabino maturing in style and production. Das Racist’s dogmatic MC Heems joins Donald Glover for another release, following “Unnecessary” with ScHoolboy Q and “We Ain’t Like Them”.
After a long and interesting rant on twitter about people taking music too seriously, Childish Gambino (Donald Glover), did the one thing he knew would force people to listen. And thus just a few short hours ago he released yet another track this week, ‘We Ain’t Them’.
Not surprisingly, ‘We Ain’t Them’ feels much natural than his latest tracks and once again showcases his natural ability to express his mind with witty punds and smooth rhymes.
Another unexpected collaboration for Community star Donald Glover going under the rap moniker Childish Gambino. “Unnecessary” is a much darker track featuring Schoolboy Q from South Central, Los Angeles’ very own hip/hop group Black Hippy.
Childish Gabino, Flynt Flossy and Yung Hummateam teamed up to serve a very unusual collaboration with a song sounding very similar to Chris Brown’s Look At Me Now ft. Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes (a homage maybe?). I just find it hilarious that so many other music blogs are taking Gambino lyrics so seriously. Gambino has enough talent to rap about the geekiest things on the internet, make fun of gansta rap and not take himself so seriously. And that is why we can’t get enough of him.
Childish Gambino is one of our fave hip-hop stars, and we loved his new single, ‘Heartbeat’. Packing a punch and great lyrical flow, it seemed near-perfect. That is, until Justin Faust dropped his disco remix. The model/producer has beefed up the synths and added some killer beats, making this version of ‘Heartbeat’ a surefire club hit that will have you dancing within seconds.

My indie hip/hop mind just exploded to this mash up by DJ 21AZY. Childish Gambino and Chiddy Bang, two amazing indie acts that have gain an incredible of popularity over the past months are united into one coherent and well mixed mashup. Combining the instrumentation of Chiddy Bang‘s “Mind Your Manners” with Gambino’s “Put It In My Video”, if there is anyone that can replace Chiddy, it is definitely Childish. This track makes me wish they both collaborated in the future.
