[NEW] Rich Homie Quan – Tell Me Why (Feat. Drake) + Rich Gang – Tha Tour Part 2

’Rich Homie Quan
Tell Me Why (Feat. Drake)’

When Birdman first recruited Rich Homie Quan & Young Thug to be a part of Rich Gang, it seemed like a natural fit as Quan and Thugger were already two of the more prominent rising faces at the forefront of the ATL rap scene. Now, the group has plans for a sequel to their successful mixtape, Tha Tour Part 1. Though we have no concrete release date for the project, it seems as if most–if not all–the tracks have now surfaced online. Featuring guest spots from Drake, Fabolous, Ty Dolla $ign and Dej Loaf, the star studded follow-up seems poised to build upon where the last left off. Regardless of where the tracks are from, this should be enough to power you through your New Year’s Celebrations. Check out the Drizzy assisted single above, and stream the rest of the tracks after the jump. Continue reading

[NEW] Drake – Heat Of The Moment (Prod. by 40) + 6 God (Prod. by Boi-1da & Syk Sense) + How Bout Now (Prod. by Boi-1da & Jordan Evans)

We probably should have seen this coming, right? With yesterday being Drake‘s birthday, October’s Very Own decided to celebrate by sharing a preview of what he’s been cooking up in preparation for his next album, Views From The 6.  The three new tracks, “6 God,” “Heat Of The Moment,” and “How Bout Now,” (which you may remember first leaked earlier this week) seem to be related to Aubrey’s upcoming project, but there’s no confirmation of their origins. The accompanying artwork (above) does seem to imply there is a connection though.

The 28 year old emcee spared no expense with his shiny new gifts. Each single represents a different flavor of Drizzy; so whether you prefer his bombastic, “no-fucks given” attitude, or his more mellow, lo-fi, seductive sound, he’s got you covered. Stream all three tracks above, and make sure to download the free offerings as well. Expect to hear more from Drake’s View From The 6 as he readies the album for release next year.

[NEW] Drake – How About Now

Drake
How About Now

Earlier today, a teenager from Marietta, Georgia managed to get his hands on a copy of a Drake song titled “How About Now,” and uploaded it to his personal SoundCloud. Though it’s still unclear how he obtained a copy of the tune, everything about it appears to be authentic. As expected, details surrounding the track are still murky, but the kid claims the song belongs to Drake’s upcoming album, Views From The 6. However, others are speculating that it might be a leftover from Nothing Was The Same.

Building off of a sample of Jodeci‘s hit “My Heart Belongs To You,” this new leak finds Drizzy lamenting to an old flame about her lack of support for his career back in his early days, while asking how she feels about him now that he’s made it big. The track also features a cameo from Nicki Minaj who plays the part of the ex leaving a voicemail at the beginning of the song. If it is in fact unreleased, our guess is issues with sample clearances prevented this from seeing the light of day. Either way, enjoy the tune above, and keep on the lookout for some official releases from Aubrey in the near future.

Find Your Love (Tim Gunter Remix) [REPUBLIC]

As we approach the weekend with great ease, what better way to kick off your Thursday than with a little Drake? As we sit here about ready to grab our jars to collect our Drake tears, we just so happened to listen through the entirety of Tim Gunter’s version and realized that we didn’t have the urge to call our ex and tell them how much we miss them. Instead, we found ourselves groovin’ to this Tropical Hip Hop rendition of Drake’s, “Find Your Love”. We’re not sure if ‘Tropical Hip Hop’ is an actual genre, but considering it sounds pretty freakin’ neat, we’re going to have to add our stamp of approval. Tim Gunter is a genius for meshing together ‘Tropical with 808’s’ because this remix is one for the books. So get ready to vibe to a banger from Tim Gunter and press play because you won’t be able to escape the repeat button.

[Hip-Hop] iLoveMakonnen – Tuesday (Remix) (Feat. Drake)

ILOVEMAKONNEN
Tuesday Feat. Drake

Just in time for your “Tuesday,” Drake decides to drop his very own remix of iLoveMakonnen‘s Sonny Digital & Metro Boomin-produced hit, “Club Going Up On A Tuesday.” As one of the hottest singles on the net, it’s only fitting that Drizzy hops on with a verse of his own–something of a trend recently, as he’s done the same with Tinashe‘s “2 On” and Soulja Boy‘s “We Made It.” Although he is the king of random releases, this comes from as far out of left field as you can get. What better way to build even more hype for his Lil Wayne vs. Drake tour though than by putting his own spin on of the catchiest tunes around? Receiving a co-sign from Drizzy is also just about the greatest boost the young ATLien could receive, and we’re interested to see if any other rappers follow suit and come out with remixes of their own. Grab a free download above, and let us what you think about this odd pairing.

[NEW] PARTYNEXTDOOR – Recognize (Feat. Drake)

PARTYNEXTDOOR
Recognize Feat. Drake

With Majid Jordan set to drop their debut EP (A Place Like This) next week, and PARTYNEXTDOOR announcing the release of PARTYNEXTDOOR TWO on July 29th (the follow-up to last year’s self-titled PARTYNEXTDOOR), Drake‘s OVO Sound imprint is finally starting to take shape. Teaming up with his label head for the only feature on the project, the Toronto crooner crafts yet another slow-burning, 808-fueled R&B gem that fits right in with the brand’s aesthetic. Drizzy performs clean up duties on the track, swooping in with a smooth verse at the end that details his plans for impressing his female partner. The single serves as a perfect teaser for the upcoming project, and we’re definitely excited to hear what PARTY has in store for us at the end of this month.

[Hip-Hop] G-Unit – Real Quick

G-Unit
Real Quick

The G-Unit comeback machine doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon, as the crew have just dropped their second track in 2 days, this time rhyming over Drake‘s latest single, “0-100.” While many will be quick to dismiss this as a marketing gimmick meant to draw attention to the release of Animal Ambition earlier today (which knowing 50 Cent, wouldn’t be hard to believe), we still can’t help but marvel at the fact that the original members of the group are at least back in the studio recording with one another. What’s even more amazing is that they actually sound pretty good together. An argument can even be made that this version is actually better than Drizzy’s original, but we’ll leave the discussion up to you.

If 50 is as smart as we hope he is, he’ll find a way to keep everyone together long enough to create at least one more project. In the meantime, fans can check them out live at Citi Field as they perform a post-game concert after the Mets face the Padres on June 14th.
