[House] Jessie Ware – Say You Love Me (Gorgon City Remix)

Jessie Ware
Say You Love Me (Gorgon City Remix)

The anticipation is building for the forthcoming album from talented songstress, Jessie Ware. Today, the UK’s Gorgon City help contribute to the momentum with their remix of her beautiful single, “Say You Love Me.” The original version is a slow, emotional ballad, but the talented production duo pick up the tempo transforming it into one of their signature house anthems. Gorgon City often feature strong female vocalists on their tracks making this feel like it could easily be an original from them with Ware’s potent vocals taking it to a whole new level. Kick off your weekend right and grab a free download above. Jessie Ware’s Tough Love is out on October 21st.

[Chill] SBTRKT – Runaway (Feat. Jessie Ware & Sampha)

sbtrkt
r u n a w a y

SBTRKT spent a good amount of time in 2013 teasing us with some of the new sounds he was experimenting with in the studio. While that trend hasn’t quite changed yet, he has chosen to unearth some of his older material. “Runaway” is a track that he’s used in sets dating back to at least 2012, and one that he apparently used to close out his New Year’s set as well. Sparse on details, what we do know about the track is that it features vocals from the talented Jessie Ware, with Sampha echoing in the background. Although the track is barely over a minute, it’s still incredibly beautiful. Here’s hoping we get to hear a much longer version sometime in the near future. Stream the track above, and stay tuned for SBTRKT’s sophomore effort, which should be dropping soon.

[R&B] Miguel – Adorn (Remix) (Feat. Jessie Ware)

Miguel
Adorn Feat Jessie Ware

Miguel lit up the airwaves last summer with his sultry single “Adorn.” Now it looks like he’s trying to replicate that dominance, repackaging the track with some added vocals from TMN favorite, Jessie Ware. While the UK crooner doesn’t add much to the song in terms of depth, her presence is certainly welcome. The simple analogy is like having the perfect hot fudge sundae, and then adding some sprinkles on top. You can NEVER go wrong with sprinkles. We have no idea where this one will live, but all we know is we have a new excuse to bump this all summer again.

[R&B/Soul] Mayer Hawthorne – Her Favorite Song (Feat. Jessie Ware)

Mayer Hawthorne
Her Favorite Song

We think Mayer Hawthorne got the title of his brand new single all wrong, because this is really our favorite new song. Complimented by the buttery vocals of British songstress Jessie Ware, Hawthorne makes yet another case for the title of “King of Soul” in 2013. The funky tune revolves around a female who considers her iTunes library to be a sanctuary from all the pressures of the world (which may sound familiar to many of you out there). It’s impossible to listen to this number without singing along, and you’ll find yourself hitting the rewind button more than a few times today. Once you’ve finished your umpteenth play-through, make sure to check out the quirky trailer for Mayer’s upcoming album, Where Does This Door Go, which will be in stores July 16th.

[New] Jessie Ware – Love…Thy Will Be Done

Rising British songstress Jessie Ware takes listeners back in time with her latest single “Love…Thy Will Be Done”. The throwback track is a modern re-make of Martika‘s early 90’s hit of the same name (co-written by Prince). Driven by a subtle beat of synth rhythms, light guitars, and soft drums, this smooth tune allows the singer/songwriter to showcase the range of her vocal abilities. What could easily be mistaken as a “best of the 80s/90’s” romance tune, is given a new life with Ware’s impressively soothing vocals. Fans can hear more of her music on her excellent debut album, Devotion.

Please Don't Let Go (Baauer Remix)

“Wanna hear some brand new shit? I don’t think I’m supposed to play this.” But, boy, are we sure glad Bauuer did anyway. As he closed his Coachella set the other day, the now-famous New York producer dropped a pitched-up, ultra-overdrive remix of Jessie Ware and Disclosure‘s “Please Don’t Go”. There’s no word on the official release of this, but here’s hoping that it’s real soon. In the meantime, check out the live clip!
