Harlem’s Smoke DZA first caught hip-hop fan’s attention back in 2010 with his impressive mixtape, George Kush Da Button. Since then, he consistently released strong projects, joined up with New Orleans veteran Curren$y’s Jet Life Recordings and put out one of the strongest hip-hop albums of the summer with Rugby Thompson, entirely produced by Harry Fraud. DZA is a talented lyricist with a gritty east coast flow and certainly has created his own brand of lifestyle raps.
The self-proclaimed “Kushed God” released his most recent project yesterday boasting a star-studded tracklist. With features and production from Big K.R.I.T., Ab-Soul, Joey Bada$$, King Chip, Ski Beatz and Harry Fraud, just to name a few, the expectations for K.O.N.Y. could not be higher and Smoke DZA most certainly does not disappoint.
