Since the release of his self-titled debut album in 2011, SBTRKT‘s follow-up project has consistently been one of the most anticipated records in music. Today, almost exactly three years later, the acclaimed UK producer finally let loose the first single from the long-awaited project. “New Dorp, New York” departs from the lush synths and drum ‘n bass percussion fans have become accustomed to in favor of a far more avant-garde feel. With some help from Ezra Koenig, of Vampire Weekend, SBTRKT creates a sort of tribal groove continuing his experimentation and combination of sounds.
