Just when you thought those Drake remixes were finally slowing down, we get this brand new revision of “Come Thru” courtesy of James Blake. While the original was a little too playful for my tastes, Blake’s rework adds a sense of urgency to the track, especially when the ominous synths kick in around the one minute mark where Drizzy begins his verse. Of course the transformation wouldn’t be complete without Blake adding in his own backing vocals, which compliment the dark overtones added through his production. Check out the tune above, and let us know your thoughts. Hopefully this means we’re one step closer to hearing that collaboration between the two artists we’ve all been anxiously waiting for.
